James Baxter is TAM’s Senior Fund Analyst, bringing exceptional technical expertise and a deep understanding of fund research, portfolio monitoring, and investment analysis. Since joining TAM in 2022 as an analyst, James has quickly progressed to his current role, where he plays a pivotal role in supporting the investment team and ensuring that TAM’s analytical processes and investment data operate smoothly and efficiently.
In his role, James oversees fund research and analysis, portfolio performance monitoring, and the development and maintenance of advanced data tools. Known for his technical prowess and problem-solving skills, he tackles complex analytical challenges, ensuring that fund models, dashboards, and reports are accurate, insightful, and aligned with TAM’s standards. James also liaises with external fund managers, maintains regulatory compliance, and contributes to the team’s investment decisions with a structured and solutions-focused approach.
Recognised for his meticulous attention to detail, analytical mindset, and collaborative spirit, James is a trusted resource for colleagues across the investment team. His work ensures TAM’s investment processes are robust, reliable, and scalable, supporting both internal decision-making and client reporting.
James studied Accounting and Finance at BNU, graduating with first-class honours in 2021. He then completed a Junior Analyst internship in Open Banking, before earning a Master’s degree in Behavioural Finance from Henley Business School in 2022.
Outside of work, James enjoys exploring new technologies, and staying up to date with market trends.
