The TAM Net Zero Commitment

Our promise

The TAM Net Zero Commitment is part of our wider sustainability mission, which demonstrates our promise to reduce our environmental impact and inspire others to do the same. For our clients we offer the Client Carbon Footprint Commitment, and as a firm we are working towards becoming a net zero organisation.

What does it all mean?

Carbon Footprint
‘A carbon footprint is the total greenhouse gas emissions caused by an individual, event, organisation, service, place or product, expressed as carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e).’

Carbon Neutrality / Net Zero
‘Carbon neutrality is a state of net zero carbon dioxide emissions. Net zero refers to the balance between the amount of greenhouse gas produced and the amount removed from the atmosphere. We reach net zero when the amount we add is no more than the amount taken away.’

Carbon Offset
‘A carbon offset is a reduction or removal of emissions of carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gases made in order to compensate for emissions made elsewhere. Offsets are measured in tonnes of carbon dioxide-equivalent (CO2e).'

Who are you working with?

TAM are collaborating with Carbon Footprint Ltd, the Quality Assurance Standard (QAS) approved provider of internationally recognised carbon footprint calculators and offset projects to accomplish our mission.

How does it help?

We are extremely proud to be one of the first DFMs to become a Carbon Neutral Plus Organisation by offsetting an additional 25% of our total annual carbon footprint. Carbon Footprint Ltd independently audit our annual carbon emissions, which we offset by supporting tree planting projects in the UK, and Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) certified reforestation projects in South America. For every tree planted, a tonne of carbon will also be saved in the Brazilian Amazon.

But we aren't stopping there. We understand the importance of tackling climate change and sustaining our environment for future generations. We want to be part of the solution and becoming carbon neutral was an important part of our mission but it was just the beginning. Whilst we will continue to offset the firm's annual emissions, the ultimate goal is to reduce our carbon footprint altogether. We are delighted to be a Carbon Reduced Organisation for 2023, and are committed to finding new and innovative ways to continue reducing our environmental impact year on year.
