The TAM Charity Ride

Pedalling for purpose

The TAM Charity Ride is our annual European cycle event which brings the wealth and asset management community together to support worthwhile causes. We aim to support small innovative charities who are less widely known, helping to raise the awareness and funds they desperately need to carry out the incredible work that they do for their deserving beneficiaries.

How it started

In 2015 we launched our You Give We Give initiative with a bike ride from London to Paris. A team of 6 TAM colleagues invited 4 industry friends to join them in their endeavor, and the 10 riders embarked on the 3-day, 300km cycle challenge. We were blown away by the support from our industry - we raised over £10,000 for charity and received many requests from friends and colleagues to join the next event.

How it's going

Fast forward to today. We now host 100 riders of all cycling abilities and have tackled a variety of European cycling routes, including London to Brussels and Brussels to Amsterdam, led by our chief investment officer James Penny. To date, the TAM Charity Ride has raised over £327,374 for a variety of small charities, such as AfriKids, Action Medical UK, HEART UK, Ruth Strauss Foundation, Waterloo Uncovered and Winston’s Wish.

TAM Charity Ride 2025

The TAM Charity Ride 2025 was our biggest ride to date, held on Thursday 31st July to Sunday 3rd August 2025, where cyclists took on a beautiful 3-day, 360km cycle route from Brussels to Paris with the collective aim of raising £100,000 for a trio of fantastic children's charities: Action Medical, Ruth Strauss Foundation and Winston's Wish.

We are happy to confirm that we surpassed this target and raised an incredible £139,374.77.
