The Investment Operations Department includes our Administration, Compliance and Marketing teams, all of which support the investment management process by monitoring trade processing and settlement issues across all transaction types, providing all product and client reporting relating to our products and running the core back office functions.
Izabela Nowicka brings over 15 years of experience in regulated financial services. She holds a Master’s Degree in Law, a European Law Postgraduate Diploma, and an International Diploma in Compliance and Financial Crime, combining technical expertise with practical leadership and commercial insight.
For Izabela, compliance isn’t just a checklist — it’s a responsibility to protect clients, maintain trust, and enable sustainable business growth. She designs and leads robust frameworks that translate complex regulation into clear, actionable strategies, embedding fairness, transparency, and Consumer Duty principles across every decision, product, and process. Her career spans dynamic startups and established investment firms, giving her a broad perspective on regulatory frameworks, risk management, and operational excellence. She brings expertise across regulatory oversight, financial crime prevention, policy development, training, and governance.
Outside of work, Izabela enjoys creativity, travel, horse riding, dance, and nature, bringing the same curiosity and energy to her personal life as she does to her role at TAM.
Sophie Weller is TAM’s Head of Operations & HR, bringing over a decade of experience and an in-depth understanding of every operational layer of the business. Since joining TAM in 2012 in a junior operations role, Sophie has grown with the firm, building extensive expertise in systems, processes, workflows, and people management that now ensures the smooth and efficient running of operations within the organisation.
In her role, Sophie leads both Operations and HR, managing key relationships with custodians, IT partners, internal teams, and all staff. She drives operational excellence across the business, blending a structured, systems-focused approach with a natural ability to support and develop people. Her leadership ensures that TAM’s processes, culture, and client service standards work seamlessly together, enabling the firm to operate efficiently, reliably, and sustainably.
Recognised for her calm authority, pragmatic problem-solving, and unwavering reliability, Sophie is central to TAM’s collaborative and high-performing environment, where teams feel supported and processes run smoothly.
Outside of work, Sophie is a devoted mum who enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, especially on seaside trips where she can unwind and recharge.
Sally Smith brings over 30 years of experience in investment operations, including senior roles at the London Stock Exchange, Hoare Govett, and NatWest Stockbrokers, before joining TAM 16 years ago. As a highly trusted Operations Executive, she is the first point of contact for financial advisers, clients, our custodian partner Pershing, and counterparties, providing expert guidance and ensuring seamless communication across all parties. Sally combines deep operational expertise with an exceptional understanding of TAM’s history, systems, processes, and client portfolios, allowing her to manage complex operational workflows with precision and efficiency. Her attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and solutions-focused approach make her a highly valued member of the team, trusted to deliver accurate and effective operational support in every aspect of her role.
Outside of work, Sally loves spending time with her family, is a passionate supporter of football, and has a sharp knowledge of horse racing!
Kirsty Hardcastle leads TAM’s marketing while also providing key operational support across the firm. She oversees social media, content creation, communications, and strategic business initiatives, ensuring clients and financial advisers receive clear, engaging, and consistent information. Combining her creative skills with strong organisational expertise, Kirsty brings a unique blend of operational precision and marketing flair to everything she does.
In her operational capacity, she supports internal and external stakeholders with administrative management, account reconciliation, and workflow oversight, maintaining high standards of efficiency and accuracy.
Outside of work, Kirsty is a passionate supporter of charity initiatives, loves dog walks, and enjoys expressing her creativity through dance and baking.
